About This Tournament

"Paragon Cash Games" is a Paragon Pickleball event. This is a prize money event with a winner-takes-all cash prize intended for all gold medalists in singles and in doubles. Less than 8 players/teams per event may result in adjusted cash prize. All results will be posted to DUPR for every event EXCEPT Men's Open Doubles, Women's Open Doubles, and Mixed Open Doubles. REGISTRATION FEES Early Bird Registration ($55): 12/28/24-1/31/25 Standard Registration ($69): 2/1/25-3/11/25 Last Call Registration ($75): 3/12/25-3/20/25 AMATEUR \u0026 OPEN LEVEL EVENTS The events offered are for singles and doubles from the 2.5-4.5 \u0026 Open/Senior Open levels. Open/Senior Open singles and doubles events are intended for players with at least a 4.0+ DUPR Rating, however lower rated players may enter. If an Open or Senior Open event becomes full, lower rated players in those events will be moved down to a skill/age appropriate event, or placed on the waitlist. POTENTIAL EVENT FORMATS *1-2 Doubles Teams/Singles Players: Combined with closest appropriate skill *3 Doubles Teams/Singles Players: Double round robin with no playoffs or Combined with closest appropriate skill *4 Doubles Teams/Singles Players: True round robin with medal matches *5-6 Doubles Teams/Singles Players: True round robin (no playoffs) *7+ or More Doubles Teams/Singles Players: Double elimination with come around consolation bracket POTENTIAL MATCH FORMATS *1 game to 11 points win by 2 points *1 game to 15 points win by 2 points *1 game to 21 points win by 2 points *2 out of 3 games to 11 points win by 2 points Please note: Tournament Director has the discretion to change event or match formats before or during the tournament especially due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. DAILY EVENT SCHEDULE Friday, March 28th, 2025: Men's \u0026 Women's Singles Saturday, March 29th, 2025: Men's \u0026 Women's Doubles Sunday, March 30th, 2025: Mixed Doubles APPROVED PADDLES Players may use paddles that are approved from the USA Pickleball Equipment Paddle List. https://equipment.usapickleball.org/paddle-list/ Players may also use paddles that can be found on the UPA-A Interim Certification Paddle and Provisional Approval Paddle Lists. https://upaa.unitedpickleball.com/approved-paddles/ Players that have a de-laminated paddle or a paddle where the surface has been altered, intentionally or unintentionally, will not be allowed. Players are responsible for checking their own paddles before play. Referees will check paddles at random throughout the tournament. RULES OF PLAY Standard USA Pickleball rules apply.
